The punters in Nevada will soon be able to use their casino accounts for more types of gambling.
The state regulators are planning to discuss to allow the use of wagering accounts that currently only used for sports betting as well as several online games. However, they will be able to use them to bet on slot machines, bingo, and video poker, according to a report by the Las Vegas Sun.
The Chairman of the Gaming Control Board, A.G. Burnett stated that there are separate regulations for each type of gambling, such as for races and sports, interactive and slots, and mobile. He added that each might have requirements with small differences. They aim to change the regulations so that they can bring all of them into alignment so that they would have the same rules for every type of gambling, with only minor differences.
The board plans to hold the discussions this Thursday at a special workshop.
Burnett said that they had received a proposal which will change the regulations for the gaming industry. If they manage to push it through, the new rules will be based on the changes that were made to the Nevada gaming law in 2015.
Burnett stated that they are making it easier and simpler for the patron. They are moving from a money-based society to one that is based on electronic payment, and these regulations will attempt to address that. Specifically, they will change the definition of a betting voucher to include digital payments. They are also trying to move an all-digital representation of a betting voucher.
